Easter week 2013

Well lets just say this week hasn’t gone as planned. I will try to give you a brief summary. In the past week Emma, Aiden, and Kathryn all came down with a bug of some kind. Aiden complained about his stomach but never had a temperature or any major problems. Kathryn on the other hand was sick Monday through Friday, spending the entire day Tuesday in bed but never having a temperature. Our darling Emma on the other hand has had a temperature of at least 99.5 everyday since Monday. With multiple days of 101 or more, the highest being 102.2 today and Friday. We are currently in the ER for the second time this week. Emma hasn’t eaten well the past week and thus has had issues with dehydration and energy. We aren’t real sure what the bug is or if that is what is causing the problems. She has had multiple doses of antibiotic the past couple days to help her with this bug. As of right now I fully expect her to be admitted this afternoon but we will find out.

I am sure everyone is fully aware of this by now but we would like to thank KPTM and KETV for taking the time to do stories on our beautiful Emma and her journey. Special thanks also go out to Billie Wemhoff and her third grade class for all they have done for Emma as well as the family of Jordan Bald and Eric Smith for their efforts with the basketball tournament. I apologize for anyone that watched me play on Friday, it was really ugly. I promise Saturday was better. Thank you to everyone who played in the tournament as well.

Lastly I want to thank Stella’s in Bellevue for not only being one of the best restaurants in the state for food but for also being amazing people. There is a reason there is always a line out the door.

Happy Easter to everyone and please travel safely as many of you return from spending time with families. Even as I sit in the ER I can easily say God is good.
